Phil brings over 30 years of experience in developing market leading businesses in the technology industry. He has managed four successful start-ups through their growth stages to $100m+ businesses, led two initial public offerings and created seven hit products. His background includes serving as CEO of StoredIQ, an Austin-TX based Big Data company now owned by IBM, Chairman and CEO at Cyclone Commerce (now Axway), President at SalesLogix (now part of Sage Software), and Vice President of Marketing at Novadigm (now a division of HP).
Before starting PerformanceEdge, he was President of Pragmatic Marketing where he co-authored the best selling business book, Tuned In: Uncover the Extraordinary Opportunities that lead to Business Breakthroughs. Phil is a frequent speaker, consultant and instructor on the topics of leadership and business acceleration strategies. He holds a BS in Accounting and an MBA in Management Science from the Pennsylvania State University. Phil lives in Scottsdale with his wife Diane and three children: Blair, Courtney and Logan.
Rachael Bertrandt, Finance & Accounting
Rachael is President of Bertrandt CPA Services and has a 20 year track record of serving high-tech firms from startup thru IPO and beyond. Bertrandt provides a full service analysis, financial management, tax management and monthly accounting. Bertrandt provides support for PEP and selected clients on an as needed basis. She is a graduate of University of Wisconsin - Whitewater.
James Domaz, Legal
James is the General Counsel for PEP, responsible for the management of all PEP entities and funds. He has more than 15 year in-house experience representing companies like MicroAge, a Fortune 500 companies with operations in North and South America Europe and Asia. He holds a BS from W.P. Carey School at Arizona State, a doctorate from California Western School of Law where he was an Honors Instructor in the Comparative Law program.
Ken Herfurth, Strategy
Ken began his career in 1988 as an engineer working with firms such as NASA, Johnson & Johnson, Bausch and Lomb, Baxter and many others. He led the Intel based technology group and served as a hybrid technology/business strategist for SuperValu, Inc. from 1996 to 1998. He served in corporate strategic planning, business and technology architect, industry and government liaison for Wells Fargo and Companies from 1998 to 2002. He has been focused on acquisitions and growth companies in technology, entertainment, high-tech and health care sectors since where he has served in multiple executive leadership roles. He has a background of finance, operations and engineering services. He is a founding partner of PerformanceEdge. Ken received his Bachelors of Materials Science and Engineering from University of Minnesota in 1996 and his MBA from University of St. Thomas in 2001.
Kevin Myers, Sales & Marketing
Kevin is currently CEO of Customer University, a web portal for training small business leaders and marketers to build their businesses with the customer at the core. Previously, Kevin was CMO of SwiftPage, an Accel/KKR funded venture and the owners of ACT! and SalesLog!x brands, Coldstone Creamery and iMemories, Kevin's background includes a long track record of innovation in integrating sales and marketing programs across direct & indirect channels. Kevin is a passionate user of CRM and marketing automation technologies. Kevin holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from The Ohio State University.
